4 out of 5 stars Ehh.......2005-11-23

im sry but if you think this band is one that nobody knows, you apparently do not live in Arizona.

5 out of 5 stars GREATEST BAND THAT NO ONES HEARD OF.......2005-11-09

this is the new e.p.(or mini-album) by greeley estates. this cd is great. the band sounds great. they're a great newer "screamo" band from arizona. the songs here have alot of the standard screaming type vocals, but there are also clean vocals on the songs and great hooks in most of their songs. they're also great musicians and have great guitar riffs in every song. this band should be huge in the so-called "emo" scene really soon.

heres a track list cause amazon doesnt show the songs:

1) Angela Lansbury Keeps Guys Like You Off The Streets
-9.5/10- great song, great chorus. couldve done w/o the weird interlude/bridge, but the rest of the song more than makes up for it.

2) Life Is A Garden
-9.5/10- another great song. this one is more similar to the songs off their debut album, "outside of this". once again great chorus.

3) Don't Look Away
-15/10- incredible song. great "screamo" vocals. this was the 1st greeley estates song that i heard. it was originally on the vans warped tour comp cd i bought at warped tour this year. after i heard this song i went out & bought their 1st cd, "outside of this", i wish i had seen them at warped tour, but i ll make sure not to miss them next year.

4) This Song Goes Out To
-8.5/10- even though this is my least favorite song on the e.p., its still a great song! it doesnt stand out as much as the other tracks, though.

5) Always
-9/10- another great song, but just like the last one it just doesnt stand out as much.

6) Y'All With The Vampire Squad?
-20/10- my favorite song on the e.p. koolest guitar riff i have ever heard. incredible vocals, both screaming and clean. the interlude is really great too. this is definately the best song on this e.p. and possibly the best greeley estates song period.

bonus videos:

"outside of this" music video
-9/10- video from a song off their debut cd. the video has a story to it and its really kool to see them play live(cause i missed them at warped tour). even though this isnt my favorite song off thier 1st cd ("if words could say" is their best song off their 1st cd) it still is a great song to pick.

"Y'All With The Vampire Squad?"
-10/10- video from their best song(in my opinion). this video is just a performance video, w/ one twist--their all wearing suits kind of like the ones the beatles would wear. i gave it a 10 b/c the song is just that good.

preview for their dvd "the death of greeley estates"
-7.5/10- this is basically a commercial for their dvd. the dvd includes live performances, interviews, backstage footage, and the music video for "outside of this".

overall-11/10-

if yr a fan of emo, punk, screamo, alternative/indie rock, or if u just like to hear great new bands that havent been exposed yet, u should buy this cd. for a limited time smartpunk is giving away a hurley/greeley estates t-shirt w/ purchase of this cd from their site.
thats it.
