Album Description

Audrey Horne plays powerful, heavy, melodic, in-your-face hard rock, with an attitude! They picked the name of the band from David Lynch's cult-movie: Twin Peaks. The band was formed late in 2002, and have since then done a number of gigs that have received great reviews, and are currently working in studio with their debut album 'No Hay Bandas'. Audrey Horne has just recently signed an artist agreement with legendary DogJob Records, the label that released the first two TurboNegro albums. The 12 track album was produced by Joe Baressi (Queens of the Stone age, Foo Fighters, Tool, Alanis Morrisette, Limp Bizkit, Turbonegro, Skunk Anansie, Monster Magnet. Dogjob Records. 2005.

4 out of 5 stars Finally, Some Good Modern Hard-Rock! (4.5 Stars).......2006-03-23

AUDREY HORNE - No Hay Banda
-
Inspired by David Lynch's Twin Peaks, Scandinavian based Audrey Horne have unleashed one of the finest hard-rock albums of the millennium. No Hay Banda, is a powerhouse of modern rock music... It perplexes me as to why I can't go a day without hearing Nickelback, yet an honest, talented Rock Band like Audrey Horne will likely never break into the scene.

The album is filled with tight musicianship, excellent song writing and a powerful vocalist.
At times their musician echoes many of hard rocks greats... `Confessions and Alcohol' has a Stone Temple Pilots / Alice and Chains feel whereas `Dead' sounds like something pulled out of the Faith No More catalogue. Other songs hint at more traditional European Rock like Katatonia or Amorphis.
Now don't get me wrong, AH is by no means a clone of anyone else... They have a wide variety of influences and definitely have their own vibe. Best of all each song is unique and the album as a whole is great from start to finish.

If you've been longing for a band that can satisfy the gap left by the departure of Modern Hard-Rock, I highly recommend checking out Audrey Horne.

4 out of 5 stars Amazing, beautiful, unique, pretty! with a dash of hardcore.......2006-01-06

Wow. I work in a CD store and i came across this CD just becos of the interesting and very elegant cd cover. i put it in the cd player and was introduced to beatiful, alternative metal with amazing use of keyboards!

its hard to define these guys, what with hints of APC, Tool, Mudvayne, Katatonia, etc. you see the dilemma!?! But, there are no hardcore death beltching, just amazing singing (whispering, shouting, talking, clean)

This swede band is very very talented. Haha, even elements of Rammstein come up! i highly highly recommend this cd to anyone who likes slightly darker elements to their music and likes apc, tool, etc.
