5 out of 5 stars Rock is NOT dead.......2006-10-07

This was one of the last great rock albums of the 20th century. Anyone who says otherwise is probably someone from Generation Z who gets off with "rock wannabes" like Green Day / Alice in Chains and more recent distorted sputum from U2 or the worn-out Rolling in their wheelchairs Stones. Great writing and fresh instrumentation is what Foreigner has always been about. If you enjoy this one you'll also want to check out D-Drive by Don Mancuso (Lou sings 3 or 4 songs on this album).

With this album we can proclaim that rock is NOT dead.

1 out of 5 stars I can't tell you how worthless this album is.......2006-06-21

I saw the Mr. Moonlight tour back in 1995 when they came to Wichita's West Bank Stage. They did play maybe three or four songs from this worthless album, but they also weren't playing all their hits very good either. Really, it's a waste of tape to be quite honest. I can't think of any of the supergroups that were hot in the 70's or 80's that made albums in the 90's and later that have made a good album, except, maybe, a handful from Dio turned the trick. "Hey all you classic rock groups, think about hanging it up if you can't make something really good". Okay? Just steer clear of Mr.Moonlight!!!

5 out of 5 stars Shame on those who think that Mr. Moonlight is just a waste of time.......2006-04-28

Shame on those because this is an absolutely amazing album, I agree with all of you who think that this album could give some of their best songs but maybe because of their release in 1995 many of their biggest fans weren't there to buy this album. I really don't understand why this LP didn't make the same sales as their first albums, maybe is the change of their style, this one as you know is more melodic with only 2-3 songs which reminds as the old Foreiger of late 70's and early 80's, and I'm talking about "Under the Gun" and "Big Dog", the second maybe isn't so similar but when you hear it very careful you'll see that is different from other tracks from this LP.

It's so weard that this LP couldn't be successful because Lou Gramm's vocals are so good on this LP that were near to get perfect.

My personal favorites from this LP are, 1)All I need to know, 2)Rain, 3)Until the end of time, 4)Running the Risk

5 out of 5 stars Why wasn't this album huge?.......2006-02-07

I have been a fan of Foreigner since hearing "Long, long way from home" many years ago. I thought they were great then, and thought they were just as good on Mr. Moonlight. Like a lot of bands that began many years ago, Foreigner has gone through a number of changes. But, I always thought if the core members of a band were still there, the ones who gave a band it's sound in the first place, then they would always be that band. It really doesn't matter who plays with them, the core members who retain the band's sound and credibility will pull them through with their spirit intact. Foreigner did just that with Mr. Moonlight.
Just listen to "Under the Gun", or "All I need to know", or the great "White Lie", and you'll hear what I mean. This album should have sold 8 million copies and produced 3 hit singles and propelled Foreigner into a new age, but it didn't do any of that. What a shame, what a waste. Now Lou Gramm has left the band yet again for a solo career which will probably go exactly nowhere, and Mick Jones has found a new lead singer. Sad to say, Foreigner should pack it in. I have never understood the so called "fans" who let a band die a miserable death in the LAND OF HAS BEENS instead of keeping the band afloat and alive.
Nobody wants to read yesterday's news, until it becomes HISTORY.
I'm afraid Foreigner 2006 is history. What a shame, what a waste.

1 out of 5 stars Band must be laughing all the way to the bank.......2006-01-13

After I bought this CD I was so mad at being taken in by a band that I had respected that I went outside and threw it against a tree. There is junk on this CD that sounds so forced it's not fit to classify as filler. There is one "song" called "Big Dog" that sounds as if the band had gotten drunk and just decided to repeat "Biiiiiiig Dogggggggg" over and over a la the "Ohhhh Yeahhhhhhhhhh" song. "White Lie" has got to be the least-inspired cliche'-ridden song ever recorded. Next time, guys, make an album because you want to, not because your record company says its time to.
