Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Christopher Tracy just rolled over.............2004-02-06

I have long awaited to hear this CD. Many years ago I was given a tape of this material & never had any luck finding this on disc until this past month. I LOVE the storyline on this piece of work by the NPG. Cherry Cherry & Count the Days are some of the best tracks, but really everthing on it is terrific. This is timeless stuff, something that I will listen to for many many years. One for the true diehards. Live 4 Love.

5 out of 5 stars his Royal Badness is gone all there's left is New Power Soul.......2004-01-11

I did not Expect This Album to be this good without Prince, The only time you Really Hear Prince is on Gags Where he sounds like he's an italian from the sopranos, and some signature screeches on Count the Days,
This C.D. Really brings the funk! even better then the previous NPG CD Gold N*GGA...

!. Intro
a Declaration Of Prince's Embattled Freedom

2. Get Wild
Great Funk song, Good For Parties! The title says it all

Segue
Begginning of the storyline, The band gettin ready to go to Glam slam the club

Dj Gets Jumped
Because their plead of Live music, the npg beat the crap out of the D.J and his turn tables and this leads into...

New Power Soul
Party song, Npg grabbed their instruments and play it hard for the club!

Dj Seduces Sonny
Plot thickens, as the Dj plots against sonny with some Hallucination Rain

Segue
Sonny Havin Trouble keepin up in bed, must be somethin the Dj Did so he counts the days

Count The Days
A song about Revenge, with a nice Acoustic Style, The Vocals are nice, and you hear Prince's Falsetto in the distant Back ground, its nice

The Good Life
Now we're getting Funky, The NPG just really funk it up with this one, Crazy Sounds a cool lyrics another party song!

Cherry, Cherry
Npg slows it down For a lost one, with Cherry cherry, a nice ballad thatt has an uplifting beat , with such un-uplifting lyrics, its a crowd pleaser

Segue
A gag track, lol Sonny T gets Runned over, the voices R hilarious

Return of the Bump Squad
Another funky Track, i have no idea what the lyrics Mean But its just so catchy makes ya wanna dance

Intro To mash potato girl
Basically a Intro to the Next Segue

Segue
I find this Segue Hilarious, Prince has a hilarious Italian Accent and Sonny T finds out he's been dumped by His GF
Prince tells the story about the mash potato girl

Big Fun
This Prelude to Freaks on this side another npg C.D. a laid back funk song
the playas anthem its what i like 2 call it

New Power Day
yet aother hilarious gag track, U can Spot Prince Makin Hilarious Voices hehe

Segue
Prelude to...

Hallucination Rain
Probably the highlight of the whole C.D. A favorite for everyone

Npg bum Rush the shi
lol Npg Bum rush an Alien Ship funny shizzle

the Exodus has Begun
hehe Good stuff right here, I love this damn Song

All in All This C.D. is worth the money, most likely even more,
Welcome 2 the Dawn
The Exodus Has begun

5 out of 5 stars More Prince than Prince.......2001-07-15

Released in the heat of the period were The Artist was in conflict with his label, this is for me the best piece that he ever appeared on. U don't hear Prince. U feel Prince. U feel the joy. This Exodus is a real experience. All songs are tight together by intermediary scenes that make it more real, lively, organic. Yes, the guys had fun. I wish fun always turned in2 such masterpieces. There's "the Good Life" - a typical funky chart like song, but also many real special artworks with a unique sound: The Exodus Has Begun, Return Of The Bump Squad. And some sweet ones of excellent quality: Hallucination Rain, Count The Days. Man, I wish The Artist made more of this kind with his friends.

5 out of 5 stars very funky - very funny.......1999-08-20

A great piece of funk music with lots of humor. I have never heard anything more funky than this - BIG FUN!
