Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Lost in What?.......2006-11-15

Bill Mumy's voice is as rich as it gets here in this cd. This is one of my favorites that he has had. What do you do after dreams come true? Keep listening to this cd! I could not sing his praises loud enough for the sound to echo off of the grand canyon for this one. His vocals amazing, his music inspired! His lyrics, wow! This is a must have for the true Bill Mumy fan! You will be saying "Lost in What?"

5 out of 5 stars Mumy does it again.......2004-07-10

To get right to the point - Bill Mumy is rock and roll's best kept secret. If, after listening to his previous efforts, I needed any further convincing, "After Dreams Comes True" settles it: Bill Mumy is one of the best songwriters of his generation. Yeah, I know he also happens to be "that guy who was on "Lost and Space" - but, trust me this is no David Hasselhof or Shaun Cassidy. As a matter of fact, probably the only reason Mumy has not enoyed the same level of critical and commerical recognition as his musical peers(Petty, Young, Springsteen, etc) is that did become famous for doing something else. His success as an actor was to, paraphrase Mumy, his "treasure and his scar". "After Dreams Come True" is a stunning collection of well crafted tunes with great vocal and intrumental performances - again, as in his previous cd's Mumy is a one man band as well as producer and arranger. In some cases that might make for a lesser end product - that is not the case here. This cd has everything a fan of classic folk rock would want - lots of great acoustic and electric guitars, heart felt lead vocals and harmonies, innovative arrangements and chord progressions, even the bass playing is interesting. But, like any great album, the real star of the show are the songs, and once again Mumy lives up to the standards he set for himself on his earlier works, and at times even surpasses it. From the rousing opener "You Were There" to the closing
