Customer Reviews:

1 out of 5 stars I AM NEVER CLEANING OUT MY GARAGE AGAIN!!!.......2005-09-02

And let me tell you why- while cleaning out my garage I found a casette of this album. I remember seeing 'em in concert and super-loving this album when it came out, and so for old times sake I played this tape again and, YUCKO! I'm afraid whatever crap I may have in the garage is going to have to stay there, I might find something else even worse. I threw out my old casette player for not eating this tape.

5 out of 5 stars Jonesing to hear this.......2005-01-23

Simply the best Jesus Jones release, as well as one of the better power pop/dance CDs of the previous decade.

Liquidizer outshines its more mainstream followup Doubt and challenging Perverse. Raw and wonderously underproduced, Mike Edwards and the band seem to just flow better.

"Move Mountains" is an absolute kicker. The wah wahs of "What's Going On?" are addictive. Another screamer of a track is "What Would You Know?", gotta love the siren. Catchy samples propel "Info Freako" and the reggae feeling to "Too Much to Learn" makes it a winner.

Liquidizer comes in at a clean 4.5 stars, I'll round up for sentimental reasons.

2 out of 5 stars Now, Nothing But A Curio.......2004-11-17

This album sounded like a monster when it came out, raw, angry and unique. The mesh of samples and dance beats and muscular sound seemed revolutionary, and the band inspired a gaggle of lesser known camp followers like EMF and Certain Distant Suns. Sadly, in retrospect the disc sounds cluttered, muddy and tepid. It's hard now to imagine tracks like `Move Mountains' and `Never Enough' causing a stir, but some albums just don't stand the test of time. Liquidizor is just such an album, if you want to here the band at it's best, try Doubt, which is more mainstream but has stood up better. If you want to hear the sample heavy dance sound at it's best, try Hack by Information Society, that's an album that still has punch. This CD just seems to drag.

4 out of 5 stars Jesus Jones' debut.......2003-04-12

This us edition by Nettwerk records of Jesus Jones' debut album from 1990... contains two other tracks : "Broken Bones" and "I Dont Want That Kind of Love" which are also not found in the Japanese special edition cd. JESUS JONES came out at the same time when grunge music had began making it's wave in the music industries main circles. The group broke out into the circuit with an incredible mixture of Rock, Pop, Thrash, and Techno bringing a fresh noise in the dawning of another era in the phases of Music's history. Somewhat profane and yet with the intelligence that is not present amongst ludicrous wanna-be-heavy wannabe's- this album blasts out with tracks such as "Move Mountains", "Never Enough", "Song 13", and the hard breaking "Bring It On Down". Oh and btw, don't forget "info Freako".
