When the Spanic Boys burst out of Milwaukee in 1990, they attracted attention as much for the novelty value of a band led by a father (Tom Spanic) and a son (Ian Spanic) as for their energetic, catchy rockabilly. The novelty soon wore off, and desultory live shows plus an underwhelming third album dampened the initial enthusiasm sparked by the band.
