Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Incredible Punk N' Roll.......2005-08-09

Disregard the guy who gave this album one star. He is obviously on drugs!! I normally don't come down hard on people I disagree with, and instead believe that everyone has a right to their own opinions, but when someone's opinion is sooo misleading, I find it hard to stomach.

This album is a-m-m-m-mazing. It is really unlike anything I've ever heard. Combine clever, imaginative lyrics, fast paced punk rock, and a bit of 1950's rock n' roll thrown in, and you only get a small idea of what these guys sound like. This disc has been spinning non-stop in my CD player since I got it 4 days ago. Face to Face fans should take note that Buying the Lie was produced by Trever Keith and sounds spectactular.

It is hard to imagine an album getting much better than this.

1 out of 5 stars What a pile of steaming cow dung!.......2004-03-22

This is an awful, awful album I cannot believe how many people are raving on about it. I was expecting Fugazi meets morrisey and got some bad static age era Misfits meets the cramps! This is punk music at its very worse. The vocals for me is what ruins this album, they are so annoying and irratating, that it i like someone scratching their nails down on a chalkboard. Seriously it is a waste of money buying this pile of turgid nonsense. Unique? It's uniquely awful!

5 out of 5 stars Another Dow Must Have.......2003-11-13

Like previous reviews have said, this cd does NOT do them justice. Their live performance cannot be captured on a disc BUT this does just fine. Nates voice carries the cd along with the backing music that makes them unique. They do not fit into any one genre and you have to love them for that.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing sound!.......2002-05-31

The energy in this album in amazing! Unlike all the previous reviers, I have not had the chance to see them live, if they sound this good on a CD, than live must be amazing. Morrissey on speed meets punk rock, this band creates a sound that is amazingly unique. Buy it, I guarantee it is well worth every penny spent.
