Product Description

From a small stage like the one at Beerland in Austin Texas to the huge one at the prestigious Download Festival in the UK, Japan’s Electric Eel Shock ALWAYS deliver the goods live, no matter what size the crowd. With their reputation as a live band fully solidified, the time came to make a record that lives up to the hype, and that’s exactly what Beat Me does. James Sherry said it best in a recent issue of Kerrang: “Mixing dark, fuzzy stoner rock riffs with classic rock sensibilities and addictive song-writing hooks, “Beat Me” occupies the gaping void somewhere between Queens Of The Stoneage, AC/DC and Black Sabbath. It's both as heavy and serious as that sounds, yet has a mischievous and fun-filled heart beating underneath the guitar wielding heaviness that is wild, unhinged and damn fun to listen too!”

Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Everything that rocks about Rock........2006-08-15

Okay, so if you take everything that's cool about Rock and Roll -- everything that rocks about Rock -- toss it in a big loud metal blender, add a dollop of wasabi and flip it on and crank it 'til it blows, you'll be pouring yourself a hot frothy glass of Electric Eel Shock! In addition to great Rock and Roll, these three guys put on an unforgettable show that's fun for the whole family!

If you like everything that rocks about Sabbath, The Ramones, Metallica, Nirvana, Zeppelin, and AC/DC, but you'd like to combine them all into one compact, easy to carry, loud Rock machine with a thick Japanese accent and occasional naked man-buns, then get this album now. You can thank me later.
