Album Description

From Hawaii comes pure cane sugar, the Ukelele, the steel guitar, Steve McGarrett, Chin and Dan-o....oh!....and.... Liz Damon's Orient Express! From the soon-to-be legendary Rev-Ola White Whale Records series Originally released in 1969, "Liz Damon's Orient Express" is a masterpiece of loungepop and the "NOW SOUND" which features not only their US smash hit "1900 Yesterday.", and a raft of other Now Sound classics, but also a cracking softpop rendition of "Bring Me Sunshine," the song with which Eric & Ernie closed many a classic "Morecombe and Wise," show in the 1960's and 70's......(though here not orchestrated by Andre Preview, sadly).....superb!

Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Waited a long time.......2007-05-13

I always loved the song "1900 Yesterday" but could not find it anywhere, including the on-line music services. When I received the CD I was a little disappointed because I didn't see any other originals besides 1900. They were all covers of other artist's songs. Then I listened and have to say I was very pleased with their renditions and found a number of them that I thought much better than the versions done by other artists. All in all. It's worth the price. Good listening.

5 out of 5 stars smooth and easy.......2006-06-07

I bought this cd for the song "1900 yesterday",and was pleasantly surprised by the other quality, smooth, easygoing music of this group. It comes with a little booklet about Liz and her band, somewhat interesting, but the real worth in this cd is the easylistening music and songs.I remember some of these songs ,but not all of them, but they are all good and enjoyable, and a reasonably priced cd is this, most likely to be enjoyed by a good number of people.
