Customer Reviews:
Don't miss out!.......2000-06-16
This is a nessisary disc to have in any alternitive/pop music collection. There is a song for any mood, and beware because these songs are almost guarenteed to evoke memories that will make you an emotional roller coaster. Not violent at all. Great with Meet me at the Fair their other CD. Once you know the Push stars you will be hooked
A bit more "raw" than After the Party, But still Great..........2000-03-07
This one is a bit more "raw" than After the Party, but still a great CD. If you liked "After", you'll like this one too. Not quite as much "pop", but the same kind of great song writing and tempos that make the newest release great. You can tell that most of the songs were first tried in small clubs, and they work just as well on the CD...
A Great Debut Cd!.......1999-09-24
For those of you who have discovered the Pushstars since "After the Party", I highly recommend this - their first recording. It is an upbeat, thoughtful cd that will make you think while you dance. The songs flow together nicely and there are many brilliant moments showing the versatility of the band and the stellar songwriting of Chris Trapper. I love the live, acoustic "Wild Irish Rose", but I also love the show stopping rockers like "Me" and "Lack of Motion". There's no filler or wasted space on this one - every song is good and if you're feeling a little down - just stick it in your cd player, turn the volume up a bit and I GUARANTEE you you'll feel better. It's hard to describe - you really have to hear it for yourself - but if you appreciate well crafted, catchy, intelligently written songs that have something just a little different about them, check this one out - you'll be hooked.
It catches you........1999-05-19
I have to concur with the other review. I discovered this disc when I was working at a college radio station a couple of years ago. It is catchy and it is fun and it can be complicated and meaningful. New album comes out today, 5/18/99, and I'm buying it today based solely on "Meet Me at the Fair." "Lack of Motion" was the first track I heard, and it's still my favorite.
