BRUTALLY INTENSE..........2005-02-16
...early 80's crusty hardcore punk, with an accent on californian hc sound Black Flag/The Germs influence, this is less crust than one would expect, except for the chaotic arrangements.VERY intense and original guitar work, brutal and effective. The whole record clocks in at a bare 23 min.,but its intensity leaves you wishing for a quaalude instead of more songs (given the right volume of course). The recording is very good for a low budget record of that era,and Sothira's voice level varies from downright buried in the mix to totally shouted on top of it all, giving the impression there were two totally different singers on the cd,which I find an original and interesting approach to mixing.HISTORIC.
Kick A** hardcore.......2004-12-14
This an old a** release now. I dug it then, I dig it now. It's loud, fast and harsh, if you like hardcore it's well worth the purchase.
not a typical release from an anarco band........2004-05-22
Unlike anarco leaders crass, and Subhumans one could say that crucifix was not an influential band, but thats simply not true. this is simply just a straight foward punk rock album. No random people screaming "shaved woman collabortaor", or changing to a reggae riff on a punk album. perhaps it's this simplicity that makes it such a great album. no crap to have to see through, and no need to change music. Thats just abut alll that can be said, sometimes we just need good music.
its your choice..............2003-10-18
PEACE? OR ANNIHILATION? yeeeeee-haaaa!!! this album is faaaantastic. as far as the music goes crucifix sounds like discharge on speed. and the singer sounds like the guy from VOID and Darby Crash, he sings real fast and its totally sloppy and bitchin.the lyrics are anarcho/peacepunk along the lines of icons of filth and discharge, you get the point. they are on southern records which is fabulous, but they are from San Francisco not the UK or anything.the pictures of them in the booklet are great, they look like they are reaaaaally having alot of fun, i wish i couldve seen these guys live, that would have been insane. buy this now and kick out the jams. if you like this you should here this great band from texas called the assault oh boy are they great and that lead singer is just a dreamboat.
