Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Another of Canada's Best.......2000-09-10

My first contact with The Watchmen came in October or 1999 when they opened for The Tragically Hip in Syracuse. Most songs came from "Silent Radar" and made such an impact that I had to purchase the album right at the show. There are no "filler" songs on the entire album and gives you straight forward roknroll with a great mix of instrumentation. This album was a Juno nominee for Best Album of the Year. I strongly recommend this work!!!

5 out of 5 stars Modern, mature rock at its finest.......2000-02-25

Few bands today have the guts to write a real rock record anymore. The type of albums that ebb and flow from fast to slow songs creating a unique listening experience. On Silent Radar, The Watchmen have created the sort of record that doesn't hit you over the head with ridiculous rock riffs or sappy love ballads, these guys write rock songs with being, middles and ends with the sort of guitar, bass and drum playing that will make anyone throw a Backstreet Boys cd out the window. Daniel Greaves vocal always emit emotions without becomming sappy, on Any Day Now he cries out for his boredom to end without sounding overly sentimental. From the opening Pearl Jam sounding rocker Stereo to the hauntingly beautiful closer Brighter Hell, Silent Radar is a record any fan of mature rock must have.

5 out of 5 stars This album quickly became one of my favorites........1999-10-01

From the time I first saw the video for "Any Day Now" I was hooked! It's been a long time since a band has simply blown me away like The Watchmen.. The music, the lyrics, the voice - all amazing.

5 out of 5 stars Very Good.......1999-07-21

One of The Watchmen's finest work. The album flows very well, from tight enrgitic tunes, to slower echoing ballads. If you are an American you should jump at the opportunity to see or listen to this band. The Watchmen rock., and Silent Radar is always great for any road trip. A must have for your collection.
