5 out of 5 stars Excellent Album........2006-05-15

and still my favourite by Grant-Lee Phillips. If you like this artist and don't have this CD it's a no brainer. You could say it makes me feel warm and...

4 out of 5 stars Waterboys, anyone?.......2002-12-09

After all that has been said about Grant Lee Buffalo's, it seems that one of the band's most important influences, namely The Waterboys. Indeed, not only have Grant Lee Phillips and Mike Scott have similar voices, but 'Fuzzy' sounds like 'This is the Sea' - just check out the first song. But fortunately, 'Fuzzy' is less bombastic (the lacks eighties man!), and adds americana-influences. Although The Waterboys did add country and Irish folk-influences on their next album, 1988's Fisherman's Blues. ('Has Anybody Here Seen Hank?' was a tribute to Hank Williams.)
Whoever likes Grant Lee Buffalo, should check out The Waterboys, and vice-versa, since Grant Lee Buffalo is NOT a copy. Both bands have their own identity and qualities. Which is a great thing of course.

4 out of 5 stars a rediscovered classic..........2001-08-24

I have recently rediscovered this excellent album after leaving it to get dusty on my shelf for a few years. What a wonderful revelation and a reminder of how much I enjoyed this album first time round. Songs that manage to be dark and brooding yet joyful and uplifting at the same time. America Snoring simply rocks. Fuzzy is a modern classic - beautiful. Every song on here is first class and the chosen sequence means that this works wonderfully as a complete album. Isn't it about time you rediscovered Fuzzy?

5 out of 5 stars a classic among classics.......2001-03-25

this album is in my opnion the best grant lee buffalo album out there. it's pure americana folk rock that reaches to your spine. grant lee philips has the best voice i've ever heard, surpassing jeff buckley. how can this guy give it only three stars? it deserves as many stars as the night sky, and more.
