5 out of 5 stars whisper and scream.......2006-07-19

when i first listened to this cd i thought it was alright. But then after a couple more times of listening to it it really grew on me. i don't like to caterogize music so i'll call it "whisper and scream." This cd is actually a mutual cd. I'll explain like this; Take a group of different people with different ears, one being hippy stuff, another being hard rock, another being screamo/post hardcore. The two people in this group who like hippy stuff and hard rock are very picky in what they listen to. When this cd goes in no one says, "i don't wanna listen to this." This story may sound stupid or even made up but it actually happened to me in a job. Buy this CD or your friends will hate your music forever

5 out of 5 stars Amazing Talent, (wish I could give it more stars).......2005-07-30

I had never heard of Silent Drive before, however I had heard of BANE (Silent Drives singer and bassist are in BANE). I went to a BANE show and Silent Drive played as well. Silent drive was up on stage early in the night, and Zach was singing his heart out. I remember thinking he had amazing energy, so much that with his unleashed exhuberance, the mic kept coming unplugged. At one point, he just dropped the mic and was screaming his heart out with arms wide open and never missed a beat. I thought this was absolutley amazing! So much love for the music. Later, when BANE came out, I saw Zach playing guitar up there and realized that this guy has AMAZING TALENT. After the show (which was increadable, they played with comeback kid as well) I decided to hunt down thier CD. I ended up ordering it off of this site.

I kid you not, this CD is having the hardest time getting out of my CD player. If you are expecting just pure uninterupted hardcore singing, you will not find it here. You really should approach this album with an open mind if your expecting a hard straight up screaming album. Trust me when I tell you, the album gets better every time you listen to it. There is such a wide variety of sounds produced by this band. Great melody, harmony, emotion, and the for ever loved screaming. Despite what I have read from previous reviews, Zach has an increadible voice. This album is absolutely my all time favorites of all time.

It was a great tip from a previous review to blend all the songs in as one long song. I would like to try that. It is also great to play it on random. Each time you listen to this album you will find a new "favorite part". It really gets better and better the longer you listen to it.

This CD has not recieved the respect it so deserves. Increadibly talented visionaries in this band. I am hoping to at least see them play on stage one more time and hopefully they make more albums.

Give it a shot!

4 out of 5 stars Good Stuff.......2004-07-27

I will give it four stars because it does rock. But it is a huge rip off of Faith No More's sound. Although at times, they got it down instrumentally, I feel kinda of embarrassed for the singer trying to sound like Mike Patton.

Obviously he has a good voice, but he should go with it instead of trying to sound like Mike Patton from Faith No More. It would just sound more authentic.

5 out of 5 stars Sweet CD.......2004-07-12

This CD is awesome. My friend played the CD for me and by the end of the very first song I was hooked. I saw them in concert in Philly and I have to say that it was a AWESOME SHOW!! They really know how to play and their energy is amazing. The whole CD is great, I can listen to it over and over again. BUY THIS CD!
