4 out of 5 stars Unexpected Gold.......2007-03-23

Wow, who knew. I just thought this guy was a reality tv show guy. I bought this CD with 0 expectations. Turns out this is one of my favorite CD's. NOW... don't expect Clapton, Bon Jovi, Inxs, or any other great band or artist. It is, what it is. It's Bob Guiney, the reality tv show guy. It's GOOD music from a reality tv show guy. As long as you don't expect to get anything out of this album going in... you are going to love this album in the end.

4 out of 5 stars Good rock album by Bob! .......2005-08-25

Bob Guiney's 3 Sides album was quite good. He and his band rock hard on the first couple of numbers! He writes some very emotional songs about love lost and love won over aggressive rhythms. This album makes me forget about his appearance on The Bachelor and makes me accept him as a serious musician and artist. The songs are reminiscent of some '90s alternative rock, but without the depressing themes. He sounds like Darius Rucker of Hootie and the Blowfish on a few numbers but picks up his own voice on the second half of the album. I like that he promoted the album differently without the excessive hype by performing in smaller shows and clubs. I look forward to Guiney making another album in the future because he is a rare talent.

5 out of 5 stars Met Bob @ Naca Conference!.......2004-11-16

Hi, this is Jared, Stephanie is my wife. She was really into the Bachelor and I only watched the season with Bob on it cause we had similar personalities. We both like to make people laugh in the same way. Anyway, I work in advertising and met Bob Guiney at one of the Naca(National Association of Campus Activities) in Texas. He was a cool cat to talk with. I was impressed that he took the time to talk, and not let his success go to his head. When the conference ended, I got a copy signed of 3 Sides, and its an awesome cd. There are tons of pop crap out there with songs about love and what not, but Bob takes it back to the early days with a simple and yet more adult approach. If you like stuff like Matchbox 20,Dave Matthews Band, Maroon 5, you will like this cd, or if you just like songs that are well written and uplifting, you will like this cd. Hats off to Bob, keep it up man, you cool! Best track is "Temporary Life".

2 out of 5 stars what about it?.......2004-05-18

It's bland. The music is ok, not bad, but not memorable.
