Customer Reviews:
Wow! What an Album! .......2007-03-09
Wow! What an album! This is Dave Edmunds at his best, with an absolutely outstanding band backing him up, performing great songs with inspired, no-holds-barred abandon and explosiveness. Rock and Roll just doesn't get any better than this incredible CD.
Best Dave Edmunds album ever!.......2002-01-11
This is the best, tightest Rockin' & Rollin' Dave Edmunds album ever thanks to the band backing him up, The Refreshments from Sweden! They have toured many times with Dave Edmunds. It's a shame that this great band get no credits at all on the cover! I have all their CD's and they are all great if you love Edmunds / Rockpile Rock'n Roll!
Welsh rock?.......2001-10-19
Listen to this and you'll know how an essentially American form of music sounds in the hands of a Celt. Dave has made a long career out of recycling Chuck Berry riffs but he produces such excellent results you'll forgive him. For me the best tracks are the Berry covers, they rock like a brakeless train going downhill. Good stuff
Dave & friends keep on Rockin' !.......2001-10-17
If you are a fan of good old, raucous, rollicking, live Rock'n'Roll then this disc is for you! Dave and his band (including sometime compatriots Billy Bremner on guitar and Geraint Watkins on keyboards, among others) blast thru these fifteen tracks like there was no tomorrow. There's not a lot of subtlety and nuance here (Thank God), just wailing guitars, rolling piano, earnest vocals and steamroller rhythms. Slap this disc in your player, crank it up and Let it Rock!
