5 out of 5 stars Best yet or what a ROCKIN band.......2004-10-02

Do not let the word ACCORDION scare you away as this CD is one of the best that I have heard in a long time. As a famous composer once said "Most people would not know REAL music even if it came up and bit them on the rear" Paul Rogers writes REAL music and is a true original composer and I recommend this CD and if you ever have a chance to see them live they do put on an outstanding stage show! PS all the girls in the band are lookers but Susie Davis is GRAND ! Keep on squeezin

5 out of 5 stars TDA Rocks!.......2004-09-02

What?? You mean you don't own this CD yet? Whip out that credit card now and buy this disk!!

I know what you're thinking... Those Darn Accordions are just another novelty band. Well, just give "Rice For One", "Dumbass On The Mountain" or the great cover of "Frankenstein" a listen. These guys rock!

Paul Rogers writes great orginial tunes with a twisted sense of humor. Guitar effects pedals, feedback and amp distortion allow the band to really pump out a crazy crunchy sound. The previous reviewer has it right when he says that TDA has one of the best rhythm sections in the business. Also be sure to check out Susie Davis as she nails the vocals on "Whole Lotta Love/Blackdog."

OK, obviously I'm a big fan. Whenever I see these guys live, they always put a smile on my face. Give Lawnball a listen and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

5 out of 5 stars Another great CD from TDA!.......2004-08-25

Whoda thunk I'd grow up liking an accordion band?! I've been playing this one for a couple of weeks now, and the highlights for me are:
1. Lawnball (title track, inimitable TDA-type ensemble rocker)
2. Dr. Luv (track 8, R&B styling, original and very funny)
3. My Friend Jim (track 9, TDA anthem to hopeless slacker)
4. Rice for One (track 10), easily "Country Song of the Year"
Paul Rogers is a genius in the same class as Dan Hicks and Gary Larson. Music and humor combined with great musicianship and a kick-ass rhythm section. Make sure to see a show if they come anywhere near!
