5 out of 5 stars An undiscovered DIAMOND!.......2005-04-10

If you haven't heard of the band Virginia Coalition (known to their fans as VACO), then you are most surely missing out on one of the best unsigned bands out there. With a must-see show, catchy lyrics, and go-go fresh flavor, these guys make rock music fun again. :) In particular, this album is a lot of fun with great tracks like "E Song" and "Witchita". Their lyrics are creative, and they know how to rock a cowbell and wood block. If you haven't seen a live show, do yourself a favor and see them in concert when they visit your town (see www.vacosongs.com for tour dates). Oh yeah...and bring your handcuffs....

5 out of 5 stars Most underrated/under appreciated Band in Music.......2004-10-14

If you haven't heard these guys, then your friends who have should be pointing and laughing at you. Virginia Coalition hail from the D.C. Go-Go scene, but musical influences range from Funk to Soul to Bluegrass. Their shows are filled with incredible amounts of energy, and that energy is captured in this recording. Favorite songs include Lonely Cowboy, Green and Grey, Likeness, Luminifereous Either, A and E Songs, and especially the Witchita's, which could very well be the catchiest guitar rift around. Great harmonies and two lead guitarists, join the band wagon before they become mainstream.

5 out of 5 stars MUST BUY.......2004-04-01

Just bought this CD because my friend said he liked it and Im glad i did. It has a little bit of everything in it. It reminded me of O.A.R. and Dave Matthews. If you are a fan of great music then go out and buy this CD.

5 out of 5 stars Bluegrass, James Taylor and D.C. go-go all in 1.......2004-01-02

With a great mix of influences ranging from bluegrass, James Taylor, and D.C. go-go, how can you go wrong??? The first time I even hear these guys was when I at the last moment went to see them live, and I haven't been able to put this cd down. Bright Machine, Atchafalaya, and and eveything else are all songs you can't skip over for the next track.
