Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars What the Strokes/White Stripes/Hives Want to be.......2004-04-14

If you ever want to hear garage rock with a little bit o' soul and a dash of mod, look no further. This album started out with a 500 copy home press and is still being made available almost two decades later... name another indy release with that kind of staying power.
Why the power? This is a stellar release from a band at the top of the game. If you like The Strokes, The Hives, White Stripes (among the pretenders to the throne) or The Sonics, Who, Kinks, Small Faces, you are certain to dig this.

The Prisoners were contemporaries of thee milkshakes (Billy Childish et al) and spawned both the Solarflares and the James Taylor Quartet, two of today's best indies.
