Album Details
The First Post Abba Pop Album from One of It's Two Strong Voices was Produced by Australian Mike Chapman (Who Along with Nicky Chinn Produced Some of the Best Pop of the 70's and 80's from Blondie, Sweet, Smokie, Suzi Quatro and the Knack Debut). The Single "Can't Shake Loose" Cracked the American Top 30 for a Couple of Weeks, but Failed to Match the Brushfire that Blazed Just 15 Months Earlier by Fellow Abba Mate Frida. Faltskog Then Retreated for a Few More Years to Raise her Children and Try Again to Crack the Market Another Day.Customer Reviews:

Shame.......2004-02-05
The Heat Is On became a smash hit all over Europe in the summer of 1983. To me personally it's actually one of the weaker songs on the album.
Can't Shake Loose is a bit more rockier and was a single in North America, later on also in Europe.
Shame is actually one of the better songs. Nice tune, with nice lyrics.
Stay sounds a bit boring and the song is too long.
Once Burned, Twice Shy is another of my favourites. A strong song but was apparently never considered for a single release.
Mr. Persuasion is a nice songs which reminds me of the sixties.
Wrap Your Arms Around Me is a nice, seductive song, a bit long though... When it was released as a single in Europe it was thankfully edited.
To Love is a nice romantic lovesong with clever lyrics.
I Wish Tonight Could Last Forever is a bit the same... it doesn't really go anywhere.
Man was written by Agnetha Fältskog herself and it's definitely one of the strongest songs one the album. It's a shame Agnetha didn't wrote more songs for the album.
Take Good Care Of Your Childeren is absolutely the worst song on the album. Terrible lyrics and a terrible reggae arrangement.
Stand By My Side is a nice song, although I think it would have been better if To Love would have been the closing tack instead of this one.
As a whole it's a nice debut solo album from one of the greatest voices the popmusic has ever known. Still the album repeats itself and it tend to get a bit bland and boring. Agnetha played it safe, unlike Frida who experimented a lot more with sound on her English solo-albums
Wrap Your Wishy-Washy Arms Around Me.......2003-01-14
From the caribbean-influenced `The Heat Is On', through a few rockier up-tempos (`Take Good Care Of Your Children'), and the obligatory ballads, Agnetha's album runs the gamut of clean-cut, simplistic pop. My picks are the minor US hit `Can't Shake Loose' (penned by Russ Ballard who, similarly, gave Frida a hit with the rocktastic `I Know There's Something Going On') and `Shame', which has a little bit of a Motown-in-the-eighties vibe happening. `I Wish Tonight Could Last Forever' is another favourite, the tepid but lyrically more upbeat musical sibling of the ABBA disco romp `If It Wasn't For The Nights'. Unfortunately, playing it so safe means that whilst `Wrap Your Arms Around Me' has all the trimmings of a good album, it lacks the spark and energy that made other records of the time so appealing. Too many times, Agnetha slips into very Neil Diamond-esque MOR territory which whilst it's pleasant on the ears, it's nothing too memorable. `To Love' is vile balladry at its worst, and Faltskog's own `Man' is similarly forgettable.
