5 out of 5 stars Is this 60s style pop music resurrected for a new generation?.......2005-08-29

That's what I was at least wondering when I first listened to Gene Defcon's third solo outing. On his first two solo CDs he tried to make some light and fun music that was enjoyable to listen to...but to put it bluntly...they sucked. So what drove me to give his third CD a try? On each CD I saw that he was slowly improving his talents. So, finally by the third CD he decided to put out...he perfected his trade. I urge you to listen to this CD because if you didn't like his material before but saw that he had possible potential. This is the CD where he finally got a working formula. The CD opens up with an up-beat song that is loads of fun then continues to launch into the rest of this CD head on. The only problem with this CD is it's hit or miss. If a song hits you just right...you'll probably have it stuck in your head and you will listen to it a load of times before it gets annoying. Though, if its a miss then the song will be very annoying from first listen. Well, maybe its not 100% perfection but I see Gene is trying very hard to perfect his trade and maybe by his 4th album...it'll all be hits.
