Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars AWSOME.......2001-03-01

I heard Jon Finn Play live at a seminar and he was great. He played some of the songs from this album and they were great too. I Highly reccomend buying this CD.

5 out of 5 stars What progressive instrumentals should be.......2000-04-05

Plenty of chops, but lots of MUSIC as well. Songs have distinct phases, not just infinite noodle sections. Sounds like someone might even have COMPOSED some of it, perish the thought!

5 out of 5 stars Jon Finn is AMAZING!.......1999-09-02

I have one word..."damn!" What an album! Not only is he one of the best guitar players around, he is also and unbelievable teacher at Berklee College of Music in Boston. I recently attended it's Summer Guitar Session and I was shocked at what he has discovered on the guitar! Just go out and buy this CD, you'll be doing yourself a favor!

5 out of 5 stars Incredible guitarist, Incredible Disk...Buy it!!!!.......1999-02-25

The Jon Finn Group is one of the best progressive rock trios anywhere. Jon has to be heard to be believed. He plays fast and clean and his songs are exciting and fun. He is Steve Morse, Joe Satriani and Stevie Ray Vaughn all rolled into one with a fantastic pair of backers.

Joe Santerre is a tremendous six string bassist in his own rite with two jazz oriented albums to his credit, and Dave Dicenzo...well there is really no describing Dave on drums. Power, speed, and taste are a good start.

All three teach at the Berklee School of Music in Boston, but don't let that fool you. This is not a jazz album by any means. It really ROCKS!

A highlight is the song entitled "If Steve Ray Vaughn Went to Berklee and Played Jazz". It transitions back and forth between a fiery SRV section and a jazzy section. (Jon loves to make fun of Berklee's reputation as a school for jazz musicians only.) Finally Jon pulls out the Bic lighter and uses it as a slide and things really get out of control!
