Customer Reviews:
One of my favorite CDs.......2006-02-03
There is nothing like putting this disc on while the sun is shining, wether you're inside or outside, this album is just amazing. It has such a "live" feel to it, I wouldn't be surprised if this album was recorded entirely "live" with minimal mics. Not sure what the high price tag amazon has this listed for but hell, this is a million dollar album! Their other CDs are good but this is my favorite. This is the most "old school" of their CDs. Let me just set staright something I saw in one of the other reviesw (maybe on a different album). This band does not sound like Sublime and I wonder if that person ever really listened to either band.
Great Great Music.......2002-03-31
... Top 40 music is the lowest classification because it is, in general, only pop music that won't stand the test of time. This album is more than that. The feel-good sound and smooth enjoyment that one feels while listening to this cd are beyond words. You definitely get your money's worth too, many wonderful tracks with a great upbeat sound. Definitely in my permanent collection. And besides, anyone who knows anything about ska music knows that the mighty mighty bosstones are a poor imitation of the real thing.
BRILLIANT.......2001-09-12
This CD is quality, one of the best in my large and varied collection. I have all three Fillibuster CD's, but to me this is by far the best. It catches the 'feel good' factor of the band perfectly. From the first track to the last this CD is pure fun and you can not fail to have a good time listening to it. If you want crappy, chart-like gay boy band music then go ahead and carry on with the Bosstones, but if you fancy something a little more raw and exciting then go for this CD. Fillibuster rule.
Vocals lack the umph of the instruments.......2000-03-27
It is tragic that this band cannot decide on a lead singer through-out its tracks. It ends up in a cacophony of yelling and off pitch music. The only positive thing I have to say is that they have several melodies that if restructured in a nuturing musical environment could produce a top 40 hit. They should sell those off to a real band like the Mighty Mighty Boss tones and cut their losses.
