its a shame .......2005-03-28
when i bought this cd back in 2001 i think i thought that this is a band that has a future in rock n roll i nstead i found out thats iv wasted another $14 so it adds to all the wasted cash since the day nevermind came out
This is one of the few 80s rock sounding CDs I own and like........2005-02-15
This is a good sounding CD that brings back the days of late 80's early 90's pop metal. I would not usually buy something like this. But I am glad I did. It is one of the few glam rock sounding CDs I own and like. I am giving it 4 stars only because I wish there was more songs on it. I bought this after hearing the single Free Your Mind, which was obviously made for radio and to sound like it is from 2000. But the rest each have their own flavor. I particually like the songs California, Automatic, Free Your Mind, Amphetamine, and If We Were Kings. Pick up this CD because I think you will enjoy it like I have. There is not a bad song on here. So I know if I like it you will like it.
You kidding me!?.......2005-01-28
Absolutely a must-have, killer hard rock debut. Not G'n R, but better, in your face rock. "If We Were Kings" is classic.
mediocre rock.......2005-01-21
I bought it because other fans of The Scream bought it, so I thought I might like it. Best I can describe this band is a watered-down Guns 'N' Roses. The guitar's probably what Slash was doing after only playing a few years. The singer's got a good voice and obvious creative talent (though not with lyrics), but there's not enough juice coming from the rest of the band to support him on this album.
To give you a feel for where I'm coming from, my favorite music was around the era of Appetite for Destruction, No More Tears, the Black Album and other riff-driven rock...and a particular taste for Southern stuff like Badlands and The Scream.
