Customer Reviews:
If only the US knew what it was missing...........2005-09-11
Finland, a country I had never given much thought until I slowly began to realize all my favorite bands orignated from there, has produced another great with Negative. War of Love, the debut album from this group, is a great record in its own right, but here it is incredible, as the three bonus tracks really add to an already classic CD.
.Lost Soul- An awesome way to open the album, it has a chorus you will find yourself singing to, and a overall great sound. 5 of 5.
.Naive- slows things down considerably, not as catchy as Lost Soul, but still a quality track. 3 of 5.
.After All- The best track in my opinion, this is what I bought this album for. Every aspect of it works, I can't fathom how anyone couldn't love it. 5 of 5.
.Misery- A track that at first you may skip, but it will definitely grow on you as it did on me. Its placement is the problem, it lies between my two favorites so it doesn't get the attention it deserves, but still an excellent song. 4 of 5.
.The Moment Of Our Love- The most well known of their tracks for good reason, it is romantic and yet still a pulse raising rock song. Excellent. 5 of 5.
.Inspiration- Sadly follows a great song, it just doesn't measure up to the others. Still not one to ignore. 3 of 5.
.1000 Nails In My Heart- A good song, but it feels like with mroe work it could have been great. 3 of 5.
.Bleeding- Here we go, back into gear with an awesome rock song, infectious, great. 5 of 5.
.Goodbye- A great rock song, with great pacing throughout, one of the highlights of a great album. 5 of 5.
.Last Hero- Good song, but lacks a certain something to make it truly great. Still a good one. 3 of 5.
.Still Alive- Classic ballad, closes the album tracks in a way that you want more, which makes this version an even better choice. 5 of 5.
.Dying Feelings- Excellent, awesome track that starts very slow then picks up in classic rock fashion, and really rare to come by as it was only a B-Side before, so if you buy War of Love, buy this version for this track. 5 of 5.
.The Moment Of Our Love (Original Acoustic Demo)- Aside from being acoustic, the lyrics have also changed. I like it but listening to it I can understand why they made the changes. 4 of 5.
