Where'd they go?.......2006-05-14
I remember about 6 years ago, I was 16 and had just gotten my first car. It only had a cassette player in it and I didn't have any cassettes...except for this one single cassette by some band called "Liquid Gang". Thought it was a clever name. It only had 2 songs on it but I wore it out regardless. Not only was it all I could play in the car, but it was actually good stuff. I made it a point to buy the CD when it was released and I still listen to it to this day.
I was wondering the other day...where did these guys go? They had a good sound...seemed to be relatively capable writers...seemed to be relatively talented...yet they never broke. I NEVER heard of them. I have no idea where I got that cassette from but, if it weren't for that, they would have sold one less CD cuz I never would have heard of them.
I'm good about hearing bands early in their career sometimes and I enjoy watching how far they go. Depswa is a good example of this. I saw them in concert a long time ago before they broke and I thought they were good. They didn't go far but I did catch a bit about them a couple times. System of a Down is another example of this...but we all know what gargantuan mega stars these guys are now...I saw them years before anyone knew who they were and it was nice watching these guys rocket to where they are now.
Liquid Gang on the other hand...never saw a video...never heard them on the radio...never saw them in concert...nothing. This is strange for a good band like this. If you've got an extra few CENTS layin around (DAMN their CDs are cheap on here!!), I highly recommend pickin this CD up. It'd be a quarter well spent...lol
If anyone knows where these guys went or what happened to them, I'd like to know. rmp5s1@excite.com

a melodic rock masterpiece.......2004-01-14
i heard "blunt force trauma" off of mtv's return of the rock cd in 2k and was somewhat impressed, so i gave "sunshine" a try.what i heard just about knocked me over."closer" is one heck of a standout single with "better view" being a great 'sunny day' type song.my personal favorite and one of my favorite songs of all time is "would you".you talk about perfection in melodic rock-this song is the epitome of the genre.beautiful stuff, and i DEFINITELY recommend this cd to fans of finger eleven, hoobastank, and doubledrive.
Best rock album of 2000.......2002-11-07
The world was denied a brilliant band when Liquid Gang broke up. Fortunately some of the members have gone on to other bands such as Planetary and Ether Seeds.
Great.......2002-06-01
This is a definate must buy. The guitars are great and in perfect unison with the drums. Nice usage of programming and unbelievable vocals. THe guitars can be angry but the voice is completely mellow. Very mixed emotions prove for a great sound. This cd stayed in my player for about a month straight. I heard they broke up though and that really pisses me off. Definately buy this.
