Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars A Piece of Gold.......2006-07-19

Look, here it is... buy it! You won't regret any minute if any time spent with Tahiti 80. I especially recommend if you are studying as the experience leaves a big, fat smile on an otherly cardboard, crinkle-cut, tight-lipped, hard-angled studious jaw. Do your self a favour; a positive thingy is this piece of good stuff.

5 out of 5 stars A BETTER DAY CAME INDEED!!!.......2006-04-05

Great, great album this one! Every single song feels like a warm autumn breezy! iT is so refreshing and uplifting that I find myself daydreaming with these songs on the background! I have honestly become a Tahiti 80 enthusiast! This record made me get all of the other Tahiti 80 albums and put them on my all time favorite list!

5 out of 5 stars Another great album..........2005-02-26

I have been a huge Tahiti 80 since their first album. I heard "Heartbeat" and was instantly hooked. I then got the subsequent second album, "Wallpaper for the Soul" (their masterpiece" and now "A Pice of Sunshine". These guys make gorgeous, smooth hook-laden pop music of the highest order. The songs are not lyrically or musically complex, but they are catchy as hell and very fun to listen to. This album is complex, because it has a few duds on it but it also contains some of the best songs they have ever recorded, and it is in these songs that you hear the maturity and progression these guys will definitely show on their next full-length. Luckily this EP is 10 songs so it should hold us over until that next album is released.

4 out of 5 stars Natural Progression.......2005-02-10

On a Piece of Sunshine, Tahiti 80 pickup where Puzzle and Wallpaper for the Soul left off. This is NOT a bad thing. In a day and age of powderpuff Top 40 pop clogging our airwaves, it is a breath of fresh air to have another creative release from these guys.

You won't find any surprises here. A couple dissapointments of note(reflecting the 4 stars), 8 tracks is like the red-headed stepchild of releases. In between and EP and not grown up enough to be called a CD. Guys this good shouldn't make us suffer. Unfortunately with the 8 tracks comes one throw away instrumental, "Antonelli", would be better suited as the opening music for a live show while the band is entering the stage.

5 out of 5 stars Tahiti 80 Look and Sound As Fresh As Ever!.......2004-04-07

I've been listening to Tahiti 80 since Puzzle came out. I even got to see them play live in a small venue in Mira Mesa, a suburb of San Diego, California. It was a real treat to say the least and they've kept my interest with the release of "Wallpaper For the Soul."

After hearing "Wallpaper...," I recognized their transition to maturity. These guys simply put a smile on my face with every note they put out. Now they have released their follow-up to "Wallpaper..." with B-sides and videos. The B-sides are good and as fresh as their albums tracks.

Again, another smile appears on my face. All of their videos to date are included on the DVD as well as a mini-documentary featuring up-close footage of the band letting their creative hair down in the studio.

Quite entertaining and just plain fun. If you like uplifting Pop music that echoes the Beatles and the 1960s and 1970s era, this band should appeal to you.
