Love it.......2006-09-15
I have always loved C.C. When cruising the CDs one Saturday afternoon I about screamed when I came across it and bought it on the spot. I love it! When I listen to music I want it to make me smile, life is hard enough. I smiled from start to finish; to me there is nothing better. I know C.C. has more in his crazy wonderful mind, and can't wait for Samantha 7's #2!
A very nice surprise.......2006-04-27
I've always enjoyed Poison's music, and have always felt that C.C. DeVille's musicianship is HIGHLY underrated, but this was a nice surprise. I only heard about this album a few months ago, and finally a few weeks ago I got it. I cannot understand why this album sold as few copies as it did. What we've got here is a collection of tunes that are sort of Green Day meets the Beatles, Cheap Trick, and well, Poison. All excellent. Lyrically, it is much better written and more clever than anything Poison ever did, but C.C. DeVille's well-known sense of humor is on display, especially on the songs Framed and Bonnie Bradley(about C.C. getting a dog so he could meet the hot girl up the street when she was out walking her dog. Supposedly based on a true story!). There's not much lead guitar here, but when there is it's always tasteful and EXACTLY what the song calls for. The rest of the band turn in good performances as well. This should've been huge on the radio and sold tons of copies. I can't understand why it didn't. I would love to see C.C. do another project similar to this, but I doubt it'll happen.
good job cc deville...........2005-09-08
i found this cd in a used cd stoer picked it up & seen cc deville i thought for a moment & bought it. im glad i did.i was surprised not to hear that poison sound but instead a whole new sound from cc deville. id compare it to fast punk but not to any other band. my fav tracks...framed.... bury me....slave laura...i wanna be famous. this is a cd much more worthy than the price its going for on amazon.
C.C. DeVille, one of a kind..........2004-02-02
Ok, I am a HUGE Poison fan, I truly love C.C. DeVille, I do think Poison is not the same without him, I love his personality, he's funny and even though he likes to draw all the attention to him, he's not "heavy" he is a great guy, did I mention he's funny? well...in a few words, I LOVE C.C. DeVille...but for Pete's sake...don't sing! I mean it, man...as a funny little thing for a Poison album is ok, but thank God Samantha 7 didn't go further!...so, this CD is good so you can tel your grandchildren that you had your own album...but no more..please? I mean, not even your mom thinks your voice is good...and she loves you. :)
Ok, so, if you like blink something and all that stuff, you might like this album and CC's voice. If you're looking for something like Poison....don't even try to wste your money.
Sorry C.C., but, people, try "songs of life" (Bret Michaels)instead. That's a great album, good lyrics a fresh sound...and even better, "back down to one" (Jani Lane). That's all I have to say.
