Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars The Cut by Golden Earring.......2007-01-15

I have been looking for this CD for a long time and it was way above average in quality. I'm glad I got it.

4 out of 5 stars In Which Golden Earring Meets MTV.......2005-10-28

Golden Earring, the talented Dutch foursome of long duration (they've basically had the same configuration for 40 years now, since 1965) has an amazing body of work. Many of their finest moments occurred throughout the 70s and 80s, and this period culminated with 1982's "Cut."

This well-written, well-played, accessible album made the Earring MTV favorites with the taut video for "Twilight Zone," whose film noirish atmosphere provided an effective context for the driving rhythms and urgent vocals of "Zone."

Hopefully this album will inspire new fans to explore the deep and pleasurable Earring catalog, perhaps starting with 1973's "Moontan" and its smash radio hit "Radar Love," and hopefully continuing into such landmark albums as "Switch" (1974), "To The Hilt" (1975) and "Grab It For A Second" (1978).

"Cut" will certainly remind longtime listeners why they took a shine to the Earring in the first place.

Happy listening!

4 out of 5 stars A CUT ABOVE most albums from 1982.......2005-06-09

This album was in full swing back when MTV was great.Being a teenager albumsfrom every group were either bad or good. This one, although short on tracks is a delight to the ear.I've been a fan for years and they continue to produce good music.I visit their web site at WWW.GOLDEN EARRING.COM just to see what they're up to.Although TWILIGHT ZONE is in no way shape or form RADAR LOVE it still will be the song from the eighties as RADAR LOVE was for the seventies.
