Customer Reviews:
Single version was great!.......2007-04-27
I bought the "Single" version of this CD and was very pleased. I enjoyed especially the first hit single produced by this band.
Pet Your Friends.......2007-01-23
I wasn't really into it when I first listened. I knew some other various Dishwalla songs (which I really liked) and of course I heard counting blue cars and loved it so I decided to pick this up. Anyway, as I was saying the first time I played it nothing but the song "give" stood out to me. After a few listens though I'd say it is pretty decent, and it gets better the more times you hear it. Some of the other songs I like are haze and Charlie Brown's parents. I would probably give it 3 1/2 stars.
A solid 90's Alternative album!.......2005-09-28
This is a band that has never been given much air time and I don't understand why? I know Counting Blue Cars was played quite a bit and it is an excellent song but there are quite a few songs on this album that could have done just as well. While there are a few songs that are stupid for the most part this is a solid example of 90's alternative music! Most people think of AIC and Nirvana when people talk about 90's alternative but to me that is grung and although I love those bands don't think that Dishwalla is going to have any resemblance to them in any way. These guys have put a solid album togeather with Pet Your Friends and at the price it is now you should definately give it a shot!! I bought it on a whim b/c it was cheap and the demos on amazon weren't bad. Although this isn't one of my most listened to CD's, it is definately in the rotation. Just buy it, you'll see! Hope this helps. I would name songs but my CD book doesn't have a spot for the inserts so I'm not sure what the names of the songs I liked and disliked are! I would say I loved about 25%, liked 50%, and disliked 25%. I bought it for a penny and it was well worth it!
Dishwalla Rules.......2005-09-21
For more than a decade, I can't remember there being a better band live or recorded. If you have never checked them out, they are an earful of pure talent and emotionand I highly suggest that you do!
It's a shame they don't sell more records..........2005-03-07
Because Dishwalla is one of the most talented bands around. Their debut is certainly different than Opaline (I haven't heard their second record so I can't compare) but it's still memorable in its own right. My favourite songs are Counting Blue Cars, Explode, Give & Moisture.
