1 out of 5 stars Not worth the money.......2007-01-04

I'm a big fan of owning the origional cd, but 12.99 for one song is ridiculous. I was ordering several CDs for my wife for christmas and didn't catch that this was only a single. Atleast it's a good song.

1 out of 5 stars The Emperor has No Voice.......2006-12-10

Am I the only one who realizes that James Blunt can't sing? He belongs to the Rex Harrison school of music, where you just talk the lyrics over the melody. Then again, it worked for Harrison, who won an Oscar for talking his way through "My Fair Lady" and his Dr. Dolittle "Talk with the Animals" beat "Yellow Submarine" for 1967 Oscar for Best Song.

Besides having a voice that sounds like he is getting over a cold, the lyrics to his song are sickeningly saccharine. He seems to be aiming at being so pathetic that women all over the world will pity him and want to nurse his wounded heart. Maybe they also want to cure his laryngitis.

This isn't the first musical phenomen that eludes my tastes, but I'm sure it won't be the last.

1 out of 5 stars Three Songs?.......2006-11-14

I really like John Blounts single, "You're Beautiful" that has been playing on the radio and was hoping to find some good new songs on this CD.

However it was three versions of the same song. One is an instrumental and the second version is exactly the same except John Blount bellows out the F word. Big Deal.

Why can't the recording industry come out with new music for those of us over 40, instead of just rehashing the same 30 year old songs.
