Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Excellent Retro-Rock Revival Album.......2007-03-16

I saw these guys at the Crocodile Cafe in Seattle. They're a very tight band, and I was surprised to discover that a band with such a mature sound could be so young. I bet the oldest dude in the band is 22. Anyway, these guys remind me of a lot of good older bands, like Billy Idol's band from the 80's, Ratt, Thin Lizzy, a less over-the-top Quiet Riot, and maybe even early Def Leppard or Scorpions. That said, the songwriting (for the genre) is phenomenal and the musicianship is great. For ten bucks you can't go wrong wih this.

4 out of 5 stars Diamond Nights- Rocks ! .......2006-10-02

Greetings,

I recently read a review of this album in Blender comparing their sound to circa 1987. Really? Interesting comparing this band to Whitesnake? All I can say is get a clue. They sound nothing like most of the "big hair bands" and especially nothing like Whitesnake. This band has a definitive retro 70's sound. Nothing wrong with that. Its done well, and I find several of the tunes to be original. They sneak in "The Girls Attractive" which is a hybrid of 80's synth, 70's guitar, with a touch of Talking Heads type lyrics- and it works- rather well! There is an addictive listening quality to this album- well worth the money !

5 out of 5 stars ROCK & ROLL IS DIAMOND NIGHTS... NEEDLE IN THE RICE..........2006-06-25

Diamonds are forever..... This band rocks. People listen to the samples! just listen. I am blown away, I could not believe my ears. This band is not only for kids ages 13 to 25; I am 42 years old and I know a little about rockin my brains out. I support this band 100%; I bought this CD the first time I listened to the samples on Amazon.com. I have it in my CD changer in my car and I rock to work and back.....It's A Shokka. <<<<DIAMOND ROCKS>>>> .

5 out of 5 stars Best of 2005.......2005-12-19

This album is one of the best of the year: maybe THE best of the year. Buy it.

4 out of 5 stars Diamond Nights a.k.a. Thin Lizzy.......2005-11-24

This sounds like Thin Lizzy outtakes, but GOOD outtakes.
All I've been playing in my car is POPSICLE and Deep Purple's latest RAPTURE OF THE DEEP. Both kick arse!

Highlights: Destination Diamonds, It's A Shocka, Dirty Thief, Snakey Ruth and Ordinary Life.

POPSICLE: 4 stars
RAPTURE OF THE DEEP: 5 stars
