Customer Reviews:
Acoustic Joy.......2007-05-16
If you like any one of these songs, you'll probably like them all. Although it is very different in many ways, listening to this album reminds me of listening to Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds play an acoustic set. (For obvious reasons.) A talented musician playing great tunes that warm the soul. Fans of Radiohead and U2 will love his covers of "Lucky" and "One".
Warren made me a believer.......2006-12-29
Not being a big fan of acoustic guitar songs. Warren has made a believer out of me. This cd has become the one I listen to if i want to relax and mellow out. I would have loved to have seen this show live.
Amazing acoustic album.......2006-10-28
This is one of the very finest acoustic performances that I have ever heard. Warrren Haynes is one of the most talented people in the world of music.
While most people know him from his electric work with Gov't Mule and the ABB , which is outstanding. Not many know this side of him. He is one of the most soulful singers thatI have ever heard, just listen to "The Real Thing" from this album, it sent chills down my spine the first time I heard it , and still does everytime after that.
This collection of songs is so great, not a wobble on the whole CD. Besides his singing, the guitar work is perfect, this man is a master at his craft.
Warren Haynes is a major talent, if musical artists were judged by that he would be a household name.Unfortunately it does not work that way, and many people are missing this guy.
If You Enjoyed This Album..........2006-05-25
While reading through the reviews for this album, I failed to notice one mention of Warren's other solo accoustic album. Normally I wouldn't write a review to premote another item, but in this case it seems like the thing to do.
For those that don't know, there was a five song solo accoustic cd produced a few months before this release that was/is sold by Warren Hayne's website and mule.net. You will not be able to track it down on Amazon, so if you liked this accoustic album then do yourself a favor and pick up "The Lone EP" on either of those sites.
