My Intro to Hip Hop.......2006-07-05
I was 16 years old when this cd dropped, and I didn't listen to hip hop at all at the time. I was a skateboarder, and all I listened to was punk rock back then. I didn't really get the slang, styles, or concepts of hip hop; and I never really gave hip hop a chance before this cd came out. However, I do remember a lot of my friends telling me how nice The Wu were, and how excited they were when this cd was released.
After seeing the video for "Triumph" a few times, I knew that The Wu were dope. I didn't realize it at the time, but "Triumph" actually changed my whole perspective of hip hop. To this day, I believe that this song is the best posse cut ever. Inspectah Dek and Method Man jump start this song with incredible back to back verses, and the beat is epic. I've heard this song hundreds of times, but I still get amped whenever it's playing. Everyone spits a good verse on this song, and the energy of the track is incredible.
"It's Yourz" is another classic. This is a great closing track for disc 1. Similar to "Triumph", this song has a lot of energy. It also has a great hook. This time it's The Rza and Inspectah Dek who lace the track with the most memorable verses.
A lot of people hate on this cd, but I don't understand why. Although "Wu-Tang Forever" is not anywhere near as raw as "36 Chambers", it is definitely more lyrical. I don't agree with all these filler complaints either. I have listened to both of these discs repetitively for nearly a decade, and the only tracks I skip aren't actual songs.
My favorite tracks include:
Disc 1
Reunited-great verses from The Gza and Meth
Visionz-great Production from The Rza
Older Gods-love the beat and Ghostface's verse
It's Yourz-see Inspectah Dek verse
Disc 2
Triumph-The Anthem
Little Ghetto Boys-one of Cappadonna's more memorable verses
Hellz Wind Staff-dope song w/ martial arts vibe
Heaterz-another great beat courtesy of The Rza
The Last Words: Classic cd. It honestly changed my life.

Best Group Album Ever, Best Wu Album Ever.......2006-01-23
Only track I skip is Black Shampoo, other than that this album is dazzling and there is no filler. They took their time and came up with a classic, what all artists should do.
Wu-Tang Clan - Wu-Tang Forever.......2005-12-26
After a long wait of 4 years after some members releasing solo attempts, Wu-Tang Clan gets back together for another group album, and its a DOUBLE album!!! Some people debate whether this one is better than "36 Chambers", but its not just for the fact that "36 Chambers" gots that original grimey sound, and its just classic material all the way through. But this "Wu-Tang Forever" is also classic material all the way through. Let me break it down for you.
The lyrics, Wu-Tang Clan has stepped their game up lyrically SO much within the last 4 years since "36 Chambers" it wasnt even funny. Their lyrics are more complex, more storytelling, more knowledge in their rhymes, its perfect! There isnt ONE song on the whole 2 discs where I think WU was weak lyrically. They are all good. And the good thing, each member gets to shine on this album, even "U-God" and "Masta Killa" drop ALOT of verses on both albums! Wu-Tang drops knowledge lyrically, and you can see that if you buy this album! But man, lyrically its crazy to see how much Wu-Tang stepped up on this album. Its insane, these guys are true lyricists!
Production wise, wow it doesnt sound like "36 Chambers" at all, so take note of that. But are the beats good you might ask? f*ck yea they are! All Wu-Tang production! Almost all of it by RZA though. All dark beats, no up-tempo bubblegum beats, come on, Wu-Tang has never been known for that and they NEVER will known for spitting on bubblegum beats. Trust me. All these are dark, bangers! And they all spit perfectly to all the beats put on the album. I love the beats all the way through Disc 1 to Disc 2. Perfect production. Even though it doesnt have the same production type that "36 Chambers" had, they stepped up in Production and the beats are BANGING on this album.
-Disc 1-
Let me explain some things I liked in Disc 1. You got a 6:46 minute intro by Poppa Wu etc, talking on a beat, dropping knowledge. You got all sorts of good production on this CD. My favorite tracks on this Disc are "For Heavens Sake". This song is OFF the hook so much. Inspectah Deck's verse on here in totally insane. He rhymes like a savage! Haha. And my other favorite song on this Disc is "Severe Punishment", with a intro from a Karate flick. Then it moves into the beat, which I love then having all sorts of hott verses on it. "U-God" spits a real good one too. On this disc, every single song is strong and bangin!!
-Disc 2-
Here is the good stuff! Disc 2! I love this. The intro, starts out with RZA dropping more knowledge about these fake azz rappers out in the game tryin to act like playas dressin up n sh**. And says that this aint no fashin show. Which he is right, much respect to RZA on that! Then WOW, it goes into "Triumph" one of the best Hip Hop songs ever made in my opinion. Every single Wu member drops a verse, EVEN Cappadonna! Man and its hott! The beat is BANGING and the verses are so hott. Especially Inspectah Decks (First verse on the song), its insane, one of the best lyrical verses ive ever heard. Then you go through the Disc with more bangers in it. You got tracks like "Bells Of War" with some Shakers in the background, nice vibes like the track. This Disc gots a lot of variety in it with the production that is. My favorite tracks on here are "Triumph", which ive said because of the HOTT verses and the INSANE beat. Then "Duck Season", since Raekwon, RZA etc drop mad knowledge. There is no weak songs on this Disc either. A lot of people dont like "Black Shampoo" from "U-God" cause they say that its a waste of a song and shouldnt be in the album but its straight, im feelin it. So this Disc is good on the real.
So after reviewing, you have to realize, besides "36 Chambers", this is the best Wu-Tang group album. Its perfect in everyway. If anyone gives this album a 4 stars, they shouldnt because its capable of 5 so easily!
