5 out of 5 stars M Pire Strikz Back v.s Da Storm.......2006-09-22

I just got the M Pire Strikz Back CD from this site, and trust me when I say this CD is hard to find or really expensive. This CD is bangin to listen to and deserves 5 stars easily. I had the first O.G.C album before I got this one, and Im still not sure whats better. Da Storm is grimmey hardcore BBC, and the M Pire Strikes Back is hardcore BBC again, with rich production. I say you should definetly pick up both O.G.C albums, and decide for yourself, and trust, these CDs are REAL HIP HOP TO ITS FULLEST. Peace. R.I.P O.D.B

4 out of 5 stars Definitely worth the $$$............2004-01-18

To tell the truth, I hadn't heard of these cats until I heard "Bounce to The Ounce" on MTV back in late '99. After hearing that joint, I knew I had to cop something by these guys. Finally I found a copy of "M-Pire Shrikez Back" in a buy & sell record store in early 2000, cuz there is no way you'd find this in a suburban record store in Sydney.

As soon as i threw it in the cd deck in my car, I was hooked. This cd is THE REAL no doubt. Forget the commercial garbage from guys like Ja Rule, Ludacris, Nelly etc... cop this cd if you want real hardcore underground bangers.

The production on a lot of the tracks are brilliant. Standout tracks for me are the grimey cuts like "Shoot To Kill", "Bounce To The Ounce", "M-Pire Shrikez Back", "Suspect N*****" produced by Havoc of Mobb Deep, and Girlz Nintey Now, which has me laughing everytime.

If you are sick of the garbage hip hop that's being released these days.. you will definetely need to cop this piece by O.G.C. This cd always has a place in my car, and hopefully a new release will be headed our way soon.

5 out of 5 stars OGC does it again... 4.5.......2001-08-28

OGC 2nd album is tight as Hell! After copping it I ran home to listen to it and realized nodding my head to the rhythm and rhymes. This is a tight, phat album but, for me, "Da storm" sounded a half-star better than this one. Some people talked about over producin' on da 1st album but I think that's no right. Don't get me wrong, this album is ain't no less-produced or somethin' but I think there's songs they would'a not put 'em on the CD. For example: 'Slo mo' and 'Set sail'... you feel me? The other all tracks is banging. My fav. songs is 'Shoot to kill', 'You're not sure to see tomorrow', 'Dirtiest players in the game' & 'Boot Camp Clique MFC Eastern Conference'. But I really dig them tracks: 'If you feel like I feel' & 'Bounce to the ounce'. Duck Down definitelly showed the talent of Heltah, Cocoa and now, OGC is on its way to the Hip Hop Hall of Fame! Word to Beatminerz, Dru Ha an' 'em! TOLD: this is a 4.5-star release.

4 out of 5 stars BCC/MFC 4LIFE!.......1999-10-10

one word summaries this album banging only "set sail" and "s*** happens" i needed sometime to get use to but besides that the album is tight go cop it so if you like ruff ryders or mobb deep pick this up, peace

5 out of 5 stars What Hip-Hop Should Be!.......1999-10-05

Look, these cats are highly underated. Bounce to the Ounce, is a bangin' track. Stop listening to all this flashy, garbage hip-hop. This is the REAL. These three brothers bounce their flows off each other beautifully. If you want the full Raw Dawg hip-hop that gives you everything, then here it is. Have a taste of pure hip-hop and buy this disc.
