2 out of 5 stars a child of what storm.......2002-03-12

I'm not tryin to bag on sunspot, but we all are entitled to have are own opinions. I personally don't really like this album at all. The beats are average, they will hit hard in your car, if that is what your looking for, but the lyrics just didn't do one thing for me. I like the Living legends a lot, mainly cuz of there good positve lyrics, and there diverse styles. Sunspot doesn't say anything negative in his verses, but my mom always told me to "talk less, say more". To me, sunspot just chatters, and never gets his message across. You don't have to have a message to be a good emcee, but you have to have at least something that grabs your attention, sunspot does not grab my attention. His voice is rough and his delivery is very un smooth. for example, he will start to rhyme, then start talking real slow, then start singing, then go slow, then pick the pace up a little bit. He has a real un even flow and rough/irritating delivery, that i can't get into. One thing I liked about this cd was the guest appearence by Eligh and del. Eligh is the man, and shows that he is a true living legend. Del spits a cool verse on a tight beat produced by eligh that will definently get your head noddin, but once sunspot comes on, prepare for that moment of pleasure to cease. Grouch and Psc also appear on two tracks on here. This cd was sad because the guest appearences outshined the lyrics of sunspot jonz. not a reccomended by, try Scarub "a fact of the matter" or eligh "sidewaysdaze" if your lookin for a good legends release.peace.

5 out of 5 stars Man sunspot ripped this album up.......2001-05-17

man, if you don't know about sunspot jonz then you are missin out on some good music. Songs like do you believe in dreams, ghost town, can't take the drama, and especially when I are my favorites, but pretty much every song on the album is good. I definately recommend anyone pickin it up. Get out of commercial rap and listen to living legends !

5 out of 5 stars "Child Of The Storm" Worth Picking Up.......2000-07-13

Sunspot Jonz...The Alter Ego Of BFAP from The Mystik Journeymen Crew, has finally released "Child of The Storm" Being a Fan Of The Mystik Journeymen and Living Legends Crew for years, I have not been disappointed with a realease from anyone that is affiliated with Living Legends, and this Album keeps that Streak alive. Songs like "Unleashed (Cant Take the Drama) "Will Not Be Destroyed" (featuring The Living Legends) and "Kombat" (With Fellow Legends Memebers Grouch and Eligh). But The Albums Three Gems are "From Here To Eternity" "Rush Hour" (Featuring another Fave of Mine Rasco AKA one half of the Cali Agents) and the Song that gets the most Play from me is "Ice Pirates" Where Sunspot Flows with none other than Del Tha Funkee Homosapien. The song Is just too damn dope for words. The Production is handled by Sunspot, The Grouch, and Vega Rossi. I Highly suggest this album to anyone and It is one of the best of the year.
