Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars you should buy it and here's why.......2007-05-03

the reason kool keith was mad about it was cus he didnt get paid, there is a new basment tape out and the cover looks pretty official to me, the stuff on there basment tapes is some of there best! dont deny yourself this music.

1 out of 5 stars Don't Buy!.......2005-03-09

If you're a Kool Keith fan, don't buy this! It's not legit! Just a stupid Ced Gee basement tape...

1 out of 5 stars Don't buy this album!.......2003-03-26

Show some respect for the legend Kool Keith, don't buy this album. It's a collection of practice runs and things that were never supposed to see the light of day. Ced Gee released this himself ...
It was this type of perpetrating that prompted Keith and Tim Dog to hit the studio again and release an album simply titled "ULTRA-Big Time." You should buy that one instead and peep the original "Keep it Real," a song targeting Ced Gee and advising fans not to buy his 'basement tapes.'
Fun Fact; The cover of this album is a strange collage of obscure pictures put together in photoshop. Keith flipped when he saw a face on this album cover that he didn't even recognize. The guy was just as surprised to see his face on the album! Show Keith and Tim Diggity some love and buy the "Ultra" album instead. This is an illegitemate album. Keith is a perfectionist and he obviously isn't proud of this material. Don't buy it. ...

4 out of 5 stars SPACED-OUT HUMOR ALMOST AT ITS BEST. AN UNDERRATED THRILLER........1999-04-23

"NEW YORK WHAT IS FUNKY" IS A BETTER SET THAN THEIR A&R FORCE TO DESTROY THE GROUP LP,NOW DEFUNCT "FUNK YOUR HEAD UP",AS UNDERGROUND AS THEY WOULD LIKE TO STAY,THE IMMACCULATE FLOWS OF THESE MC'S ARE TOO MUCH TO LEAVE ALONE. KOOL KEITH'S SOLO JOINTS WINS AGAIN,BUT NOTHING MAKE ULTRAMAGNETIC MORE SPACED OUT LYRICALLY THAN THE SLAMMIN' PRODUCTION BY CED-GEE. THIS IS BEYOND "FUNKY".
