The story goes that when Biggie Smalls first met Cam'ron and heard him rhyme, Biggie said he wanted Cam'ron to be the next King of New York. In a crowded field of contenders after Biggie's death, Cam'ron makes an admirable bid for that title with Confessions of Fire. As is typical of the post-Biggie era, thuggishness is acceptable, but only when accompanied by a wink and a grin--and Cam'ron certainly smiles, whether it's in the anthemically tongue-in-cheek "Horse & Carriage" or in the knowledge that his mistress's boyfriend is "too cheap for caller ID." Though often plagued by a serious case of New-York-pseudo-gangster-beat-itis, Cam'ron comes through with personality, style, and enough juice to own the town--this week. --Jon Caramonica

3 out of 5 stars don't forget the children of the corn.......2006-08-26

all i gots to say is why doesn't anybody give props to Big L?
L is the reason why Cam and Mase even Hova are where they are for putting them on before they were big. Now the only time i heard L get shoutted out was by Premo and Guru on the start of the Full Clip album. R.I.P to the best MC of all time because he sends garbage mcs to DA GRAVEYARD.

3 out of 5 stars I ONLY LIKE A FEW SONG'S FROM THIS,MOST OF ALL THA SONG CAM HAS WITH NORE!!!.......2005-12-05

3 out of 5 stars Heheh.......2005-11-25

I haven't heard this album.

But remember that episode of the Simpsons, with the homosexuals working in the steel mill?

This album cover bears an uncanny resemblance to those guys.

4 out of 5 stars I Confess.......2005-09-19

A great debut by the man that dons himself Harlems Finest.
Only the confident can go and put their moms on a album.
357 ah man iz crazy. Horse and Carridge probably will be the most known off the album but I know that its not the best song the album has to offer. From this point the game has to be aware that he will be here for awhile.

5 out of 5 stars The Best Cam'Ron Album Since He Came Out!.......2005-08-02

This is Cam'Rons first album. Cam is a genius, but he steels too much. And I have to give him creadit for that Biggie joint. Man, people know how to use technoligy to bring Biggie Back. Especially Cam'Ron, but he has better things to do. If Biggie is interested in me rapping on his beats. He, just give me the holly ghost and I'll do the best I can to make the Biggie Mixtape raw. You too Tupac, and Big L, and Big Pun (Especially Him) and Left Eye. And Aaliya. Remember? That January Song? Okay. Enough about that. If you guys don't like this album right here, then you do not like the Dips. The Diplomats. This is good stuff right here. And I give this five stars by showing no regard, because of you ******. Thanks.
