Caint nobody touch Copy.......2006-04-07
For starters, I am serious, hardcore underground hip hop fan. I usually prefer the more lyrical, abstract underground artists, more along the lines of Aesop Rock, Cannibal Ox, and Sole.
However I must say this album really impresses me. I wasn't too into at first, Copywrite's delivery and flow were a little too chopy and battle oriented for my taste, not to mention I found the beats mediocre at best, despite RJD2's production.
But after about a year with this album in my possession a began to truly enjoy it. When you sit down and really listen to the cleverness and depth of Copywrite's punchlines and disses you begin to appreciate the depth and ability with which he constructs his ryhmes. These aren't just silly battle raps he is using here but rather thought provoking jabs that consistantly make me laugh out loud. His wordplay is impeccable.
My only criticism of the ablum is that from top to bottom it is very consistant and there is little variation to the overall theme of the tracks, there mostly just battle raps. Nevertheless the album is very entertaining and worth picking up by anyone who enjoys good underground rap or is looking to free themselves from the garbage that you hear and see on MTV (Yes, Im talking about you Wily'N'Out).

If you like hip-hop buy this right now.......2005-09-30
One of the hottest underground hop-hop LPs out. RJD2 production and guest spots from Camu Tao, Jakki da motamouth, and Smut Peddlers (Cage and Mr. Eon). Pretty much every beat is ridiculous and the rhymes are so tight you'll be rewinding that sh*t over and over. Columbus has been putting out some of the tightest underground MCs in recent times and copywrite just might me the best.
