Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars Great Album.......2007-03-22

Most people do not give the LOX the credit they deserve. Their lyrics and beats are some of the best. The only flaw is that in some of the songs you will find yourself anticipating Jadakiss' verse not really paying attention to Styles and Sheek. The difference in skill is too obvious in most cases.

5 out of 5 stars 100x better than Money, Power and Respect!.......2006-09-25

Standout tracks: F--K YOU, CAN I LIVE, BREATHE EASY, WILD OUT, BLOOD PRESSURE(kiss rips it), RECOGNIZE, YALL F---ED UP NOW, U TOLD ME, FELONY N---AS, SCREAM L O X, and WE ARE THE STREETS(censored Puffy diss). Filler: If you know(bland plus Swizz Beatz cant rap) and Ryde or die bitch(im surprised this single didnt kill their buzz). Bottom Line: The Lox came back with an album that was way better than the commercial and lame Money, Power and Respect. This Is the same Lox that use to kill the mixtape circuit before they signed to Sad boy records and let Punk Daddy talk them into making their worst rap album. We are the streets is an obvious diss to Chump Daddy that somehow got censored(WTF for?). As much as I hate P sissy I wanted here the Lox rip him a new one and the record gets censored WHY? Anger aside this is the best album the Lox made.

5 out of 5 stars Just Too Hard.......2006-07-21

1999 was a great year for the Lox. The whole crew proved they were all nasty on this one. The beats were sizzling, and the content as hard as concrete.Their solo albums were great, but this collabo album took the cake.

5 out of 5 stars Like It.......2006-05-06

The Lox are the hardest group out right now I mean look at who is in the group Styles P (AKA The Ghost), Jadakiss and Sheek Louch. Can't get better than this the whole album is hard as hell and I noticed some haters on here but that is okay they don't know what they are talking about. The album is worth listening too I have no favorites because I like all of the songs. Hopefully they will come out with another album like this. I recommend this to all Rap fans worth your money.

4 out of 5 stars My second favorite album of 2000! Strong music from Swizz Beatz! .......2006-03-05

This was my second favorite album of 2000 after NSYNC's No Strings Attached! This never left my car stereo most of the first 6 months I heard it! I even played it on I-95 in Maryland between Baltimore and Newark, Delaware in July of 2000 The Lox proved that they had a hot album! Swizz Beatz did most of the album and everything all clicks! Jadakiss' tough lyrics, Styles' philosophical style and Sheek Louch's street feel with a laidback approach just connected with the songs. Swizz Beatz just nailed it on most of the songs. His addictive keyboards, dramatic chord changes and funky, kinetic beats just match well with the group's street lyrics. I liked the Timbaland offering Ryde or Die with Eve. This is far, far better than the overly commercial Puffy-dominated debut on Bad Boy, the one most people would like to forget. This second effort proves that these Yonkers brothers are the streets and wanted to take their New York shine back!
