Customer Reviews:
Awesome Music.......2003-03-08
Whoever it was that said this music has no bass must be deaf or have really bad speakers. If you happen to have 2 15" in woofers in your trunk then this will pound like nothing you've ever heard before. I would really recomend you have an 18" woofer to get the full feel of the music. So much low bass. If you love bass and you don't own at least one cd of TBC then your really missing out.
Solid CD.......2001-09-05
Chances are if you are reading this you are a bass fan, so I will address this review as such. First issue, if you looking for Techno music here you might wanna head else where. While this is great bass cd, it's not a good techno one. The label which this cd is on is DH, a great bass label, only seecond to Newtown (of P.E.B fame) so I expected this to be a soild album. And to no surprise, I was right. Great songs, great bass, the song Technobass (the new style) is worth the price alone. While this is not a masterpiece like the great Computer Bass, it is still a good buy. Cop this album if you got some spare singles lying around.
TBCs "Bass Machine"- a TechnoBass Masterpiece.......2000-04-24
I'd have to disagree with the first guy to review this CD. First of all it's not Techno-it's Techno Bass---A huge difference. The warning should be taken seriously especially if you don't have the proper equipment-such as a fair amount of power (watts) and a good pair of subwoofers. Small speakers will pop due to the exteneded low frequency range of the 808 Bass drum sound. It is a beautifully composed Bass CD, mastered cleaner than alot of other CDs out there. It doesn't skimp out on the bass and the ambience is wonderful! Just check out their songs like "Bass Fantasy" and "Love Theme from Bass Machine". It's hard to find a nice slow bass jam these days. I bought the tape in 93' (after it being stolen, I bought the CD recently) and still find it fasinating to this day. I'd have to say that the artists Ivan Kopas and Robert Bartko have not put out anything this nice in quite a while. If you have a chance, check it out, it's a beautiful BASS CD and I believe it can appeal people of different ages and musical taste. A true "BASSHEAD" like myself would recommend it to another, and guarantee that you won't be disappointed!
Not nearly as good as I had hoped........2000-01-27
As far as techno music goes, these guys are OK. However, their name suggests that they might have more bass than other groups. In fact, the cover even "warns" against very strong bass that "may damage speakers." I must say, I heard very little, if any, bass unless the volume was cranked WAY up! Now I guess it's possible that my speakers don't have the frequency response to play whatever 'deep' bass this music has, but I doubt that. Mediocre techno at best, with no bass that I could detect. I would not recommend this title.
