Customer Reviews:
Another solid CD from Lil Keke.......2005-09-10
Keke is back with his 2nd album of 2001, and of the 7 albums of his I own this is probably the 3rd best. One of the original members of The Screwed Up Click, Lil KeKe da Don is nothing special lyrically but he has a flow where he can kick it on any beat and it sounds nice. Of the 15 songs on here, 7 to 10 are good or great songs, 4 to 7 are ok and only 1 I skip. Guests rap on about half the songs and do hooks on about 3 more but you still get a good deal of Keke. Production is good on most of the songs on here. DX does 7 songs, Solo does 4, Big Sin does 2, and G Swain & Street Flavor each do 1. A great album to have for fans of real southern rap, not the bull$&*% that's on the radio and all around in 2005.

Platinum in the Ghetto.......2005-07-20
"Platinum in the Ghetto" is a great song. The rest of the songs are pretty much hit or miss. I can see how some people would like songs like "Coast 2 Coast," which I don't like. "Pyrex Shakin'" is my favorite song on the album. As a rapper, Keke is all right... think a slightly weaker Z-Ro. The beats aren't great, but in the end, I still used to bump this CD all the time so I'm gonna give it high marks.
Great CD.......2002-02-23
Lil' Keke "Da Don" is back, straight out from Houston! And he made a great album. "Platinum In Da Ghetto" is a Hit just like Lil' troy's "Wanna Be A Baller", and "Cowgirl" or "Callin' My Name" are really tight tracks. The best Songs are "Mr D.J." and "Off Da Chain". It's one of the best Down South CD's ever!! Listen also to J-Tweezy or the new Master P Album! CYA
Not Bad.......2002-02-19
Not Bad, I bought it as I wanted the Platinum in da Ghetto song. I finally got the Lil Keke song Keep on Hustlin' although it wasn't on a Keke Album, it was on a D.O.W.N. album called Southern Slang, also happened it was their song not his. This album was worth buying the Southern Slang Album is worth 5 stars.
