5 out of 5 stars How to tell if your funk compilation's a winner...........2001-04-20

....you can tell if there is more than one rare, rare jam on it. Is evvyone liscenced to put "More Bounce To the Ounce" and "Atomic Dog" on their funk/old school compilation?

This has the ultro-rare jam "Insurance Main For the Funk" from p-Funkmiester Bernie Worrell's "All the Woo in The World" and two seldom played Sly & the Family Stone hits "Loose Booty" and the voice-boxed "Same Thing (Makes you Laugh)" and the Bride of Funkensteins' "Disco to Go"....Hey! Where did that "More Bounce.." come from?

5 out of 5 stars Excellent.......1999-01-18

This series of CDs is amazing. A must have for anyone interested in the genre or in rap music (you can here all the songs that have been sampled dozens of times over). Vol. 5 is not the best, but the best for dancing (because of its disco bent). Check out any volume, they're all great. I think 2,4,and 5 are the best.
