OLD SCHOOL NATION!!!.......2007-05-04
This is one of the times that Rhino got it right. All of the tracks here (actually, in this series) are presented in their full, unedited rump-shaking glory. Most notable here is the 12" version of Funkadelic's "One Nation Under a Groove," which, if you remember, when it first came out, was a promotional-only 12" that we were endlessly teased with by the radio stations and select DJs who were fortunate enough to have a copy. After much bitching and threats by us (the buying public), the label responded to our demands and released it, almost a year after the original mix came out! The guitar riffs of this version and clocking in at 11-minutes plus makes this CD worth the price alone! The other tracks on the disc do not disappoint either! You can throw one HELL of an "ol' skool" party with this disc, and the rest of the discs in this series as well! Enjoy!

This is an exceptional cd it contains some of the best hits that you rarely hear on the radio I really do like this cd it contains some great songs: bon bon vie, One Nation under a groove, faze-o W/ riding high, , thighs high, backstrokin, and many great others this is one of the best old school compilation cds ever made!!!!!

A definite must have for all the old heads!! This is a great set. I own volumes 2 and 3 so far. Every volume, 1 through 7 contains all the hard to find and seldom played oldies that take you back to the good old days. Songs like "Riding High" by Faze O and "Backstrokin" by Fatback. All songs are played in their entirety, no cutting. Buy this CD today, I guarantee you will be grooving till the sun comes up!!!
