Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Off the hook.......2003-02-27

This album did not get the publicity it deserved, every song is off da hook, hard to say it's the best cause all of Stevie B's albums are the best.

5 out of 5 stars Best Ever.......2002-08-24

This is by far THE best work ever done by Steve B. Unfortunately, due to a riff with Sony, the record was never promoted. The creativity really flowed on this record with work by Glenn Gutierrez (remember the #1 Jaya hit " If You Leave Me Now") and Mario Agustin (later to produce dance diva Jocelyn Enriquez best known for the title track of the Studio 54 movie). Dave Koz, one of THE most respected saxophone players ever, appears on the Diane Warren cut "Kiss The Tears." In case you don't recognize Diane Warren's name, she has written for everyone like Mya, Michael Jackson, Aliyah (One in a Million), Aerosmith (Don't want to miss a thing), Toni Braxton (Unbreak My Heart). She was brought in by Tommy Mottola (Sony president and ex-husband to Mariah Carey) to provide an "automatic" hit for the album. The teamwork of Glenn Gutierrez and Mario Agustin really hit it off with their production prowess on tracks 1,4,5,9,10. Track 11 , Prayer, was meant to be the follow up to Stevie's #1 hit "Because I Love You." This song featured real musicians (the drummer on the track, Tony, used to tour with Sweet Sensation and recorded his tracks for "Prayer" using the late Jeff Porcaro's drums who was the drummer for the rock group, Toto, known for "their hits "Rosanna" & "Hold the Line"). Michael Thomas, guitarist on "Kiss the Tears" worked with a vast array of artists from Cristina Aguilera to Celine Dion, Boyz II Men, Madonna, Reba McEntire, etc. It's too bad that this album didn't get the recognition that it deserved.

5 out of 5 stars Perfect for the jouney of love.............2000-12-19

This album was backtracked by myself, as I live in London UK, there is no maket for U.S. freestyle here.

This album basically takes you through the journey of love - first, it kicks you off with a 80s party tune (which puts u in a good mood). The second, in my opinion, is one of his top five tunes. If you are infatuated with someone, this song says it all - mindblowing. The next few tracks seem to be of a heartbreaking mood. The rest of the tunes are worth listening to over and over but trax 2 & 5 are worth getting the whole album for alone!
