Album Description

One of the oldest gospel quartets in the world, this group originated in Piney Wood, Mississippi in 1944. The 5 Blind Boys of Mississippi have been singing for 55 years. Today, they are as strong as ever, keeping up with the pace of Gospel music. The group consists of the following outstanding men: Sandy Foster (lead singer), Joe Watson (first tenor), Charles Monique (second lead), Willie Glover (guitar), Ollie Thomas (baritone), and Jesse Brown (bass). They have won two Grammy and Stellar Awards, and they were inducted into the Ebony Gospel Hall of Fame. The Name Of The Mississippi Blind Boys rings throughout the world as they continue to sing their traditional hit songs of yesterday and today.
