5 out of 5 stars Hard to find soul classics!.......2003-03-05

I've been going crazy for years trying to find an original recording of Denise LaSalle's "Trapped by a Thing Called Love", as opposed to the remake LaSalle did a few years ago. Soul Patrol Vol. 2 was the answer to my prayers. SP2 also has "Nothing Takes the Place of You", an oldy but goody by Toussaint McCall that I first heard (on tape) in one of the Rhino Soul Shots volumes but could never find on CD (until now). If you are a fan of deep-fried Southern Soul - and who isn't - you will love Soul Patrol.
