Customer Reviews:
She's so much more than a nightclub singer..........2004-01-21
Hadda Brooks is usually remembered as a woman who sang blusey torch songs in night clubs. But this record shows an aspect of her talent that is often forgotten... She was one amazing piano player, mixing boogie woogie and jump blues. These tracks really rock! You think Marcia Ball swings? Check out this sh_t and then consider that it was recorded between 50 and 60 years ago! By the way, don't be put off by the age of the tracks. I don't know how they did it but these have been beautifuly remastered and sound like they were recorded last week.
