5 out of 5 stars The Boston Boys At Their Best.......2006-12-12

A 12-track compilation of four tracks each by spin-off acts of New Edition seems like a strange way to pick up their work, to say the least. Still, if you want some hits by Bobby Brown, Bell Biv DeVoe, and Ralph Tresvant, and are for some reason uninterested in scoping out their albums or waiting for their one-artist-only greatest-hits collections, this is a succinct mini-primer of one of the most successful clans in urban contemporary music.

5 out of 5 stars THIS CD IS ALL ABOUT THE MEMORIES.......2005-05-06

The problem with cd's like this is.People bash them but we all know at one time we loved these song's.C`mon admit it you loved BOBBY BROWN, BELL BIV DEVOE, NEW EDITION,and the rest of the crew.
From the dance songs to the slow jams.If you had good MEMORIES
with these song's like i did. It is a perfect flashback on years past.Without looking at photo album's.
And even if they are not hit's today.Or if NEW EDITION AND ALL THE MEMBERS will never chart again.YOU HAVE TO ADMIT THESE WHERE ALL HITS AT ONE TIME.AND ALL HIT'S WE DID LOVE.Even if you don't love them now.Pick this cd up and give the song's and group members another chance.

5 out of 5 stars NE 4 Life!! (and the reason JG is not on the album).......2004-02-25

God knows I love New Edition! This is basically a collection of solo hits by the group. Most NE fans will probably have all of these songs, but this is a great collection for a person who just liked their released singles & don't want to buy a whole album just for one or two songs.I see alot you are wondering why none of Johnny Gill's (JG) songs are featured on this compilation. Well let me answer that question for you! JG had already inked a solo deal with Motown Records prior to joining NE. Since this is an album from MCA Records, they would'nt have any of JG's stuff on it. I guess Motown wouldn't allow it. NE, BBD, Bobby & Ralph were all under contract from MCA.

4 out of 5 stars It was a N.E Heartbreak!.......2003-05-31

I love this album. They took some of the greatest solo hits of this super group and included it one on album. I love Ralph T'S "Sensitivity" and Bobby B's "On Our Own" from Ghostbusters II soundtrack. This would have gotten 5 stars but the only had the original lineup of N.E and they negelected to have any of Johnny Gill's solo hits like "MY,MY,MY" or "Rub You the Right Way"

3 out of 5 stars This collection was a mistake.......2002-08-27

Four things:

1) You know I have to ask...where's Johnny Gill? I'm not a diehard Johnny fan or anything, but if you're gonna have New Edition's solo hits, you should have hits from every member, even if Johnny wasn't an original member.

2) About Bobby Brown's hits...why is "On Our Own" on here? Why not have some of his REAL hits, like "Good Enough", "Roni", or "Don't Be Cruel"? Whoever put this collection together needs to do their homework.

3) With the possible exception of "Stone Cold Gentleman", do you know if anyone was singing along to ANY of these Ralph Tresvant songs? "Money Can't Buy You Love" was the most uninteresting, and the rap was terrible. I've heard better rapping from Ron DeVoe.

4) Most importantly...why was this album even made? For the most part, the songs are taken from BBD's Poison and Bobby Brown's Don't Be Cruel, but doesn't everyone already own those albums? Also, there's already New Edition's Greatest Hits (the only collection you really need), All the Number Ones (self-explanatory), and All For Love (all their love songs), so what the point of THIS?

Let's hope something like this doesn't happen again.
